Position in the organization : A member in a purchasing team, consisting of Business developer, Business support and Technician.
Report to : Material Area Manager, or equivalent
Purpose of function :
Within the legal framework of IKEA (Trading Agent, Trading Service Office) and in collaboration with IKEA of Sweden, contribute so IKEA reaches the Best Buy for every product within the IKEA range.
The Business Developers is – within her/ his defined part of the business – responsible for optimizing the purchasing possibilities by developing the existing and finding new suppliers, creating an efficient supplier structure within the Trading Area.
Assignments
Set business strategy, goals and action plans for your Purchase Team that are aligned with IKEA’s overall strategies.
Together with each supplier create business plans that will enhance the full potentials of the business.
Monitor and follow up strategies, goals and action plans.
Support or give directions in order to develop the Purchase Team
Negotiate with suppliers according to IKEA values and guide lines.
Ensure that all products are purchased according to the Best Buy principle.
Support IOS in the product life cycle process.
In all situations act as an IKEA Ambassador.

Deep material and production knowledge with your area of responsibility
Deep knowledge about negotiation
Deep financial knowledge
Deep knowledge about legal documents linked to IKEA purchasing operations.
Deep knowledge about the cost drivers in the purchasing part of the supply chain.
Basic knowledge of other cost drivers in the supply chain
Fluent in English
