Description:
The newly started Swedwood Trading Representation Office Qingdao is the link between Chinese suppliers and Swedwood's production units in Europe. Our aim is to secure successful sourcing from China for our production units in Europe. As Business Support you will be in charge of the daily communication between Swedwood Trading, suppliers, logistics companies and Swedwood’s production units. Besides keeping the business running, you will also perform follow-up and take improvement actions. As the office is growing, your responsibilities will grow as well.
As Business Developer you will be in charge of building up the relationship with veneer and solid wood suppliers, develop the suppliers, and secure the quality. Besides developing the supplier, you will also manage the technical communication between Swedwood Trading and Swedwood’s production units in Europe. As the office is growing, your responsibilities will grow as well. This position requires extensive traveling in China and Europe.

Main Tasks:
-Screening for new suppliers.
-Continuously developing supplier competence in production quality, capacity and technology.
-Secure suppliers’ compliance regarding corporate social responsibility, like forest tracing, environment, health and safety.
-Reducing cost in the total supply chain.
-Working pro-actively in assuring the agreed quality levels.
-Continuously contributing to the development of our business by improving working methods and tools.
Qualifications:
-Knowledge and experience from veneer production and/or furniture production.
-Strong communication skills.
-Sound knowledge of English, verbal & written.
-Analytical & well-organized.
-Open minded.
-Team work spirit.
-Open minded, flexible, positive and able to work under pressure.
-Customer focused.
-Degree in engineering.
